My Purpose


Imbalances in the quality and availability of health care services in inner-city America, have allowed for preventable conditions such as obesity, heart disease, and diabetes to ravage my community for generations.

As a result, African American communities throughout this country face the very real prospect of dramatically shortened life spans.

  My purpose is to fight against these imbalances, and to help members of my community live longer, happier, healthier lives. I will do so by growing the business of companies who are harnessing technological advances in order to increase the standards of care provided to those who have been historically underserved.


 From the brink of an early death, I was able to recover and change my life by focusing on how my thoughts and habits contributed to my overall well-being. As a personal trainer, consulting closely with clients to achieve their individual goals, I had some small effect. Now, as a businessman armed with new tools, I can’t wait to see what’s next… 

Sharing the story of my experience allows me to keep my mission in the forefront of my mind, as it continues to guide my choices as I develop my career.




 I Love to Build & Create.

I rebuilt my first car, disassembled my first computer, and spent much of my childhood tinkering with Capsela construction toys. As I've matured, this same spirit of curiosity and construction remains evident in my designing and business model conception.

  I've Lost Over 150lbs.

After a health scare, I revamped my life with new habits and behaviors. In 18  months time, I dropped over 150 pounds. This experience lead me to became a personal trainer, where I found meaning through coaching others on how to change their lives as well.

  I started my first business at 14

Always enterprising, I launched an eBay store focused on reselling unlocked cell phones, athletic shoes and fashion items imported through Alibaba. Since then, I've dabbled in import/export, garment printing, business consulting with more to come.

 I'm Passionate about Learning + Development.

I've always placed a high value on education and skill development. I continually work to expand my knowledge of things that I find interesting and useful. I believe in keeping my brain active and regularly absorbing new material through attending talks, workshops, conferences, and other learning initiatives.

My Path

As a personal trainer, I set out to enact change on a individual level. While I found this work rewarding, the level of change that I could inspire in this position was limited. I recognized that, and decided to pursue my Masters of Business Administration in order to gain the ability to more effectively play a role in the revolutionizing of the healthcare industry. In addition to the core global business principles, I decided to dig deeper with coursework focused on

    I am positioning myself to make a difference in the Digital Healthcare field through a business development or customer success role, where I can use a combination of my creative thinking, strategic planning, & soft skills in order to drive the adaptation of new solutions.

    Since 2009, I have had the opportunity to amass a wide range of experiences through working in diverse team settings. At Hult, my experience took on a global perspective, as I participated in semester long business projects alongside team members from around the globe. Despite our various cultural and linguistic backgrounds, we found a way to harmonize our work into executions of excellence.

    My philosophy as a team member is that if I can encourage others while facilitating discussions and brainstorming sessions, I can help to foster a culture of collaboration. My goal then becomes to create an environment which engages each of my teammates to participate in their most effective way. I believe that these efforts are often my greatest contribution to the team, and that they help to build relationships that continue long after the work is done.
